Where does our alphabet actually come from? How did it develop? What stages of development did it go through and how has writing changed over the centuries? I explore these questions with an animation. Using the two letters A&O, I playfully show the changes from its origins over time, through the various classifications of typefaces to the present day and beyond. The aim is to bring the viewer closer to the changes in type and to see typography in connection with the respective time. The animation is not primarily intended to communicate, but to animate the viewer and make them understand by showing connections.
